UPMG Phils. continue to provide Free-learning Seminar in the midst of the pandemic through adopting the New Normal Way. Last June 17, 2020, for the first time, they held their 2nd UPMG Talks with their 3rd General Membership Meeting which was opened to ALL for FREE. With the help of data determined from surveys during the recent months, Ms. Ana Mayor (Research Director of GoodThinking Research, Inc.) discussed how Marketing works in the time of New Normal. She initially talked about the crisis the industry have encountered during the first two months of facing the Covid-19 pandemic like shifts in marketing goals, marketing budgets being re-allocated and budget reduction for traditional advertising. Subsequently she provided list of businesses which boomed during the crisis such as companies who adopted the virtual way of communicating and outsourcing, delivery/ package services and other e-commerce businesses.
Aside from the learning seminar, UPMG Phils also raffled for Globe Cards and cash prize and celebrated its June Celebrant, as the way they traditionally do during the previous GMMs. 2nd UPMG Talks was held in support to the organization’s mission in giving-back to its members, industry partners and clients. This virtual event was headed by Vice President Jay Sarmiento (PhilStar Media Group) and Chief of Staff Badette Cunanan (Manila Bulletin Publishing Corp.).
UPMG aimed to still provide continuous learnings and member-gatherings in the middle of social/ crowd protocols through having the succeeding General Membership Meetings virtually, via Zoom App and Facebook Live.
